Game started crashing randomly

Post by taries » Wed 13 Apr , 2016 7:35 pm

Since like week ago my game started crashing on AS/RACE server, I have no idea what is wrong it happens randomly so far as I remember it was on Mercury and White Citadel and some other map, tho other times I play/spec those maps nothing happens.
Here is log:

History: KBodyGetActor <- BodyGetDoubleRate <- KBuildPartitions <- KWorldStepSafeTime <- KTickLevelKarma <- TickAllActors <- ULevel::Tick <- (NetMode=3) <- TickLevel <- UGameEngine::Tick <- Level WhiteCitadel <- UpdateWorld <- MainLoop <- FMallocWindows::Free <- FMallocWindows::Realloc <- 10910191 0 FArray <- FArray::Realloc <- 0*2 <- FMallocWindows::Free

Could this be a blessing in disguise?

The allocating memory is the normal issue that make UT crash. My UT used to crash often when the memory was getting full, specially in invasion when there are lots of objects to be dealt with. Have you considered that maybe happens to you in these two maps because your memory is being filled ... Does your computer have enough memory or is it in the limit (you need some 4Gb for the OS alone)?

I should have enough memory, it doesnt happens always, one time I can play/spec these maps without any problem, other time it starts crashing.
My RAM is 8 GB, CPU is AMD FX-6300 Six-Core Processor, GPU is NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 its old GPU but not old for this game for sure, Motherboard: MSI 970A-G43 (MS-7693)

Slow LDG server can't keep up with six cores so crashes the game :(

It seems your HW is not the problem. You may try first to clear the cache folder, maybe there is a corrupt file. If the problem continues , save your *.ini files and make a new installation of UT... If it continues, definitely is HW related.
