As a graphic illustration of the difference your nitro settings make, I decided to record this comparison of different steering settings on StadiumRace. With me driving both laps as close to identically as I could (I think the 100% lap is a little better, actually), the difference between 100% steering and 150% is quite stark. The 150% setting is 8 seconds faster, or about 10%.
So in conclusion: n00bs, do your SETUP ._.
