Offline versions of BallisticPro

Post by Azarael » Wed 24 Jul , 2013 1:42 am

This topic will link to the current offline version of BallisticPro.

Last offline version: 10th March, 2015

To get the most recent version:

1. You will have to clean up all the BW and BWPro files you copied.
2. Empty the cache folder and delete cache.ini.
3. Once you have removed all these files, join a BWPro game on the LDG server.
4. When you finish downloading all the required files, the game will load. At this stage, quit UT2004.
5. Download UT2004 cache extractor (there is more than 1 program that does this, all should work).
6. Using the tool extract ALL of your cache.
7. After it is done load up UT2004 again, and you'll have the latest BWPro available for local gameplay.

It worked for me - should work for everyone :)
And to get the mutator list entries:

You can do this by using UCC. Open cmd.exe and open ucc by putting in these commands, one by one:

Code: Select all

cd c:/ut2004/system
ucc
then copy and paste this whole block:

Code: Select all

ucc exportcache BallisticProMain.u
ucc exportcache BWBPAirstrikes.u
ucc exportcache BWBPOtherPack.u
ucc exportcache BWBPRecolorsPro.u
ucc exportcache BWInteractions3.u
The drawback with this, however, is you will have a mismatch error online should there be an update. To resolve this, just rename the conflicting file extension to .old.

BallisticProOffline.rar (3rd August 2013) doesn't seem to download for me. Mind reuploading to somewhere else?

Testing now. If download is OK, will have to assume that the problem is on your end.

Thanks Azarael.

I have subscribed to this thread, so I won't have to bother you anymore!

Is this also the thread to discuss offline version issues?

This is a great update. I have to say, I was really impressed by the awesome quality of some of the weapon animations and sfx, for example, the 4-rockets rocket launcher, STREAK, or what its name was. Outstanding. Also big points on models and weapon design and of course, originality.

Beyond that, I am especially loving the non BW group in the loadout menu. You know how long I've been waiting for this :) However, not all weapons appear in that group. Are you aware of that? I also have many BW Pro weapons appearing 3 times in the weapons list in the game's setting menu.

If weapons appear too many times, try deleting the file BWCache.ini as well as any old versions of BallisticPro (files BCoreProV55.u, BallisticProV55.u, BWBPRecolors4MainPro.u), then retrying.

In the Non-BW group should appear all weapons that are visible to the game from its cache, excluding V25-based Ballistic weapons which are excluded for compatibility reasons.

The extra weapons are of course fixed up versions of the beta weapons of Sergeant Kelly's Bonus Pack. Credits for that are in the forum above this one.

I'll give that a go.

So still no T9CN huh? Can you at least enable it for the offline versions? :P

I have a couple of things to bring up regarding specific weapons:

1. What is the "armed" mode of the Conqueror MGL?
2. The LK-05 has an audio bug: While using the silencer, if you keep holding the fire button when you finish firing a whole magazine, the firing audio loop keeps on playing indefinitely until you release the button.

The Conqueror displays "Armed" when the secondary mode is used, which fires a grenade which can be remotely detonated by pressing Altfire again.
