I agree with Xavious, when you play a game everyday sooner or later you get bored of it.
You say that you "lose the spark", ok, but why lie to your "brother-like friends"? If they're precious to you, tell them the truth, that you need a break, not some BS...
Now when the will to play again will return, things will have changed on the server you'll go, but you'll start a new project, a new adventure and you'll enjoy it. You mustn't fear the moment when the flame will go out, just play and enjoy the moment.

UT2004 never gets boring. Shooting some punks in the face with a shotgun is great stress relief after a shit day at work.
