How is the situation on bukkit ?

They're still heavily working on a 1.7.2 release. The latest news are that maybe a first development build could be finished by the end of this week . The quality of this build is described as: it compiles, i.e. it will be pretty unusable for a server. So far, the bukkit team has not announced a date for a working beta or a release version.
