I have maybe a solution.

under C: ut2004 system then right in the window looking at ini enter and search read. then you seek the (UT2004 C: \ UT2004 \ System is 29.5 KB big. doubleclick editor opens searches for -->[Engine.GameEngine]
CacheSizeMegs=512
the value 512 smaller make.
i have 160 registered. not forget to memory

ut reboot

with me went it then

Can anyone confirm this? I am also kinda struggling with the second part of this "tutorial". So in UT2004 system map I have to open which file? Editor? With which program? Notepad? Or I have to look for those ini files?

If I understand well what he means, look for your ut2004.ini file in the system folder. Open it with notepad and search for the line CacheSizeMegs=512 in the Engine.GameEngine section and lower this value. His value is 160 (mine is 32...). Then save the changes and restart UT.
Its all about the game, and how you play it
All about control, and if you can take it
All about your debt, and if you can payit
Its all about pain and whos gonna make it...

Hmm, I'm curious what mine is set to. Maybe it'll stop some crashes.

Thanks. Mine is also 32 so I doubt that this is the source of those crashes (and I am crashing a lot - only on the inv server tho).

Video hut (current map) has an invalid url so we can't join, I guess it's stuck until an Admin changes the map

Fixed, also hoping to have fixed the crashing by disabling UTComp.

Please restrict sandbags, I'm sick of getting killed because some muppet has blocked all the doorways up with hundreds of sandbags its beyond a joke.
