Trans not work

Post by ferg4 » Sat 15 Oct , 2016 1:46 am

Hello,

as headline suggests, I can't use my translocator.
Well, I bought it and can shoot the disc - but I can't teleport to the disc.
This has nothing to do with "how far I let the disc fly" etc.
Alt-Fire is bound on "shift" key in my configuration and not used by any other "action".
While I can zoom-in with alt-fire on any other weapons, I can't trans to the disc.
fuu

thx in advance

It only works near path-generating objects (pickups, player starts, etc.).

I can't use the trans at all, no matter where I stand or whom/what I position next to - just nowhere on any map - others can.

You can look into it somehow?
Playername is "Hyrasch"

thx!

Does it work with alt-fire set to right mouse?

Wow, it worked, thanks a lot!

Jesus ... I just learned that some weapons even got three fire modes LOL
Looks like "shift" is for zooming and now right-click mouse is the 2. fire mode on some weapons.
But is there an explanation for the various weapon-fire-modes?

2) Some maps really freeze my computer for some seconds, like every 20 - 30 seconds or so!
Is it windows 10 or ut2k4? I'm using the 64-bit edition ut2k4 but still some freezes occur from time to time.

Thx

I use 64 bit with no issues on W7, but I will tell you right now that W10 is the issue itself. There is a lot of shit going on in the background that may cause those freezes, such as sending your keylogs to Microsoft or making sure you're not doing any bad goy stuff.
Make sure you do everything in this guide: viewtopic.php?f=41&t=3250

Go to esc→Ballistic Binds to see what key is assigned to change fire modes, I believe either L or K are the default.

I already tried everything on this and other guides.
64-bit version is using the dx9 render path; nothing helps.
Lowering the resolution to 1080p or using this wrapper from enb are the only two options left I have.

I noticed that the further I progress, the more freezes occur.
On some maps there are no freezes at all, but on others the freezs occur exponentially with the monster lvls; lvl 1-4 monsters: no freezes at at all; lvl > 4-6: freezes start.
Last time I got freezes like every 15 sec for 3-5 sec ... unplayable.

There is this patch http://www.utzone.de/forum/downloads.ph ... le&id=4190
helps?

When I played on win 8.1, there were no problems occurring - so win 10 is the culprit.

No, that patch is not it.

Honestly, I suggest you scrap your installation and install Windows 7. It is not worth your time to fix such a piece of fucking garbage.
