Alternate Invasion Idea

Discussed this a bit on Discord and I think there may be at least some interest in the idea.

Current Idea: Use Mod server to test out a Enhanced weapons mutator in combo with Invasion. (Note: This idea will have no effect or any changes to the existing ballistics weapons invasion.)

Idea set up:

Weapons: Enhanced Weapons (this will replace the default ut2004 line up of weapons), FHI Volva, FHI Riot Shotgun, UWM Howitzer, UWM Pistol, UWM Turbolaser, FHI BS69mg, UWM Spore Rifle and FHI Rustgrenade.

Maps: Same maps as the ballistics server however some maps may need to be edited. (If edits needed will rename maps to DM-Mapname(EWI) or something to separate any potential map differences that need to stay in effect for ballistics invasion.)

Monster Waves: I like a lot of the waves and monsters we have on ballistic invasion.. Could start with a straight copy paste from that server and then tweak with different monsters or the config..

RPG Mod: Not exactly sure which rpg mod we might want to use. I do like the LDG one however that was created with ballistics server in mind and in a effort to keep that server unique and not have any potential config problems in future, I think it would be best to run a different version then that of the LDG rpg. I have been out of the invasion scene since 2009ish so if anyone has any recommendations in this area shout it out!

If you have any recommendations or ideas post away. Who knows if this gets enough interest we might be able to convince izumo to allow us to change mod server into a full time server with this above idea.

So some developments in this idea.. summarizing from discord conversation:

Mutators: Monster ArtifactDropv2, invasion x
Monsters: Can't really modify this atm but can look into it later.
Concept: No rpg mod and no translocator. This mode is going to be normal invasion with monsters who will always drop some kinda item. This will encourage faster game play and a none campy style of playing invasion.

I can add many items to the list of drops to include any mod artifact drops(including that of rpg drops like magic weapon maker), weapons and ammo.
Please offer up suggestions for requested weapons, mod artifacts, ammmo and changes.
