MAU Target Designator thingie

Post by Satin » Wed 10 Sep , 2014 3:25 pm

Just used it extensively on Inv on Treehouse map (Large open map)

Using the incendiary option almost makes the server crash, presumably due to excessive particles? everyone experiences +2 secs of lag for around 20 seconds once it goes off.

Not really a bug, but if 2 players used it at once I bet the server would fall over or players would get disconnected.

Known issue with intense effects of the napalm strike. I'll see what I can do about reducing the intensity of the effects.

Had nothing to do with intensity. Instead, one of the emitters had particle collision enabled. There are about 12 of these emitters and they spawn about 25 particles, so this was murder on the lone processor core this single-threaded game has access to.

Fixed.

Keep getting 'path to bomber obstructed' although I'm standing on a roof with nothing overhead and clear line of sight to an open field with nothing obstructing anything.

Map: Fortress of War' position On the roof, aiming into the open field below.
