Proxy healing

Post by Eiforia » Mon 21 Sep , 2015 10:10 pm

It's very hard to play at overtime when proxy healing stops work.
Is it bug or another new way to show team game? (

To add to that, teammates hitting you triggers the delay, as well as self damage.

Self damage should, rightly, stop self healing.

The other two are gonna be fixed, he knew about the overtime one already but just hasn't had time for it.

Might be worth seeing how the game is without prox heal in overtime, as there have been a lot of complaints about 15 minute rounds.

As I commented, No proxy healing while taking damage gives additional advantage to all weapons which have delayed damage:
-Marksmann secondary
-Bort Flare
-Xms dart
-Redwood coach
-cx80 flame
-Darkstar bolt
-Rx flamethrower...
-LAW
-MOP
and so on..
Not sure about freeze weapons...

That is how the weapons were designed to function though. Delayed damage which you could heal off, via the use of an actual healing item or weapon, rather than just hugging your team. These weapons are arguably underpowered with proxy healing active. I believe, before this change, proxy healing actually outheals a significant number of these if not all.

Additionally, the irony being that splash damage weapons which combat groups, are not very effective against groups as prox heal just nullifies any damage.

I think this measure changes the dynamics of balance and then balance has to be re-weighted because weapons that don't have the advantage are suddenly underpowered. Why use a different sniper then marksmann? or a shotgun different as redwood?....
For example from Longhorn, you get always some splash damage from it, so there is no way to avoid the spamming on every corridor, wall, and frozen teammate. Actually, no sense to thaw, because you are really risking to be killed, and there is no possibility to replenish your health after.

PS- Is not a complaint, is just a note, I'll adapt to any change...

Corner spammmers are actually less dangerous now, thats the whole pont. Before you could jump into a crowd of them with an assault rifle, get one down to ~50 health while he is switching the wep a-a-and watch him proceed to run around his teammate to recover while you are trying to outdamage them both before having to reload.

You are right Greed, has also some positives. Now you will be able to kill the body campers (at least 1), and additionally you can confront a group. Still is very dangerous to use Cylo FS, but in comparison now is useful.
Anyway feels like TAM, not freon.

I think BWPro needs a healing weapon so we can at least get some sort of chance to heal up after getting hurt.

But how will we get them to use something that doesn't actually do damage?
