It's not really a bug, but I think it's a misuse of terminology. In regard to inviting people to join your "Discord', the definition of discord is:
1a : lack of agreement or harmony (as between persons, things, or ideas)… must we fall into the jabber and babel of discord while victory is still unattained? —Sir Winston Churchill
1b : active quarreling or conflict resulting from discord among persons or factions : strife, marital discord, or discord between the two parties
2a music
(1) : a combination of musical sounds that strikes the ear harshly (2) : dissonance The song ends on a discord.
2b : a harsh or unpleasant sound

I think the word you are looking for is "Discourse":
Definition of discourse
1: verbal interchange of ideas; especially : conversation
2a : formal and orderly and usually extended expression of thought on a subject
2b : connected speech or writing
2c : a linguistic unit (such as a conversation or a story) larger than a sentence
3: a mode of organizing knowledge, ideas, or experience that is rooted in language and its concrete contexts (such as history or institutions) critical discourse
4: archaic : the capacity of orderly thought or procedure : rationality
5: obsolete : social familiarity
