At least dragonflies are an easier target. :P

Are you sure those 3 minutes start after the venom got destroyed? In the map I played a few hours ago (don't exactly recall the name, I suck at that, but I think it was J-VehicleRace) the enemy Venom was back there almost instantly after I killed it.
If this sentence is false, I don't have a signature.

Coi wrote:Currently, the Venom (in RACE) is still a bit too powerful IMO. It's very manoeuvrable which makes it hard to hit (which you have to do a lot before it's destroyed), and killing it doesn't really help anyway since it will be respawned and back in the air after 15 seconds.

Also, the AVRIL 'lock' sometimes suddenly breaks but I'm not sure if that's a Venom or AVRIL bug.
Destroyed in 4 hits, will flee after 3 (700hp)

A flying brick just like the raptor, but actually has the acceleration to dodge rather than being a sack of shit

Respawns in 70 seconds on all maps and if the user flees to heal, it still takes that long

AVRiL locks cough aimbot cough l2twinbeams cough break with range, excessive speed (firing too close) or loss of line of sight.

Venom: 3 thrusters and blocky, lasers and fire bombs

Havoc: 2 thrusters, thin and curved, rockets and spammy bombs

Agree with you on the other aspects, but this one has to be extended a bit:
Destroyed with 4 hits and the pilot will likely flee after 3 hits, sure. The important point here is that it has to be 4 fully loaded shots (which takes time to build up) AND likely more than half of the shots of "average" players will miss the venom. Thus, instead of 4 fully loaded shots you might need 7-9. Summing up the loading time of each shot and the time for the next loading, I come to the conclusion that the venom has far too much time to destroy a bender, kill the avril carriers or whatever stands in its way.

I don't mean to force you to an adjustment of the vehile, but certain variables - which i want to declare as 'human failure' - should be considered.

There is one thing though, which nobody here should have doubts about, but too few say it out loud:
Good job on the venom so far! :)

It's the maps. Hotrace = Venom is awful. DarkKnight = Venom is OP.

Lots of places to hide in the latter.

If the HP of the craft drops any lower, pilots will be in and out of the base. Lately, you can get hit from all directions - especially on the centralised J-Vehicle Race.

How the map issues can be dealt with is by using the Havoc as the main gunship and having the Venom available on more difficult maps where the extra firepower is required.
