Questionable Ethics
Some players mourned about the EnderDragon situation.
Since the SMP version of the bossfight is really bugged, or seems to be,
only the first bossfight is complete (all EnderCrystals, full HealthBar, no obstructions and no ExitPortals).
I guess (it's only a suggestion) that the amount of EnderDragon spawning in the End is equal to
the amount of players, who visited the end minus the killed ones.
So all players would get a dragon to kill, BUT
no Dragon exept the First one has full health, and, obviousely, no Crystals to restore health.
Thus it's way easier to kill it and obtain a full victory-set.
Also the End is barely used for anything exept the BossFight and EnderPearlFarming (rare cases), so
nobody will care about the END_MAP.
As i promised, i found a way to restore the End. By simple restarting the Server with no END_FILES,
the map regenerates. And i just obtained another Egg.
So following question appears:
Is it legitimate to restore the End and the EnderDragon with its Exp and its Egg,
and if YES, then how often or based on which events?

Fixed that for you.alexd2580 wrote:Is it legitimate to restore the End and the EnderDragon with its Exp and its Egg,

Edit by Alex: I admit your superiority. You have defeated me!
But yes, I think it's fair if it were to be restored. Just don't state when/if it is restored.

This is fckng embarassing for a grammar flamer like me. Damn you, Late-Night-Post, i should go sleeping earlier...
Alas, why should I not tell the world of restoring the End's original untouched state?

Re: Questionable Ethics
I'd say: Beginning of every second month.
This way, people may prepare themselves for this event and go berserk together.
Alternative: Randomly. Don't say when, so people go to End more often.

Re: Questionable Ethics
but that brings up another topic: the strongholds
As there are only three of them and apparently people can claim strongholds and have them protected with worldguard one may not be able to enter the End if all strongholds are private property. Therefore I would suggest that at least one of the strongholds is considered to be community property and may not be claimed by anyone.

And who are you, the proud lord said, that I must bow so low?
Only a cat of a different coat, that's all the truth I know.
In a coat of gold or a coat of red, a lion still has claws,
And mine are long and sharp, my lord, as long and sharp as yours.
And so he spoke, and so he spoke, that lord of Castamere,
But now the rains weep o'er his hall, with no one there to hear.
Yes now the rains weep o'er his hall, and not a soul to hear.

I know where all three strongholds are. And currently none of them is private property. But you're right. They are a depleting resource. Should i announce their coords, and build some kind of public entrance, or just leave them untouched?

Re: Questionable Ethics
well... Anhrak had the one he found protected in the beginning because he was afraid someone could enter the End.
After the dragon had been killed worldguard was removed.
I also know the positions of all three strongholds and the one I found is not readily accessible because it's deep under the ocean. I built a small tunnel from the nearest land but it's still quite a walk. I think we just leave the strongholds untouched unless someone tries to destroy them. If that happens we could protect them via worldguard from additional griefing...

Re: Questionable Ethics
Well, as you stated there spawns one each players. True, others may find theirs easier as they are already harmed, but this is because they fly in a confusing pattern where you can't focus on just one anymore.
However, I found a way to focus on one each. If you stay out of their range, and just in range of one dragon, only one will attack you.
Regarding your question, maybe it would be suitable each month. I'm for sure already that I wont hunt down the dragon for the egg (as I already have one in my trophy cabinet), and I never really bothered about ender pearls as well (only in my SP file for Ender Armour =P), hence my visits would be rare. Only reason now is a bit easier xp with the endermen (or just trolling with endermen that I have hordes of endermen after me), or pondering to start gathering end blocks.
