Re: Discussion - The Killstreak System
Would like to see a return of gifting level 3 weapons.
This was the only time such weapons were seen in game. The likelyhood of someone going 16-0 to get KS3 is low. Even 9-0 for KS2 is a miracle for most people.
Perhaps give it a different kind of restriction. If you gift it from level 2, it only has 50% of the ammo supply, and will not carry to next round.
On a side note - KS weapons are buggy in the sense some of them don't seem to carry over to the next round. I claimed a peacemaker yesterday at end of round. Then I didn't have it at spawn.

Re: Discussion - The Killstreak System
Cannons are overpowered to the extent that they're a free death for whoever comes across you, whoever's hands they're in. KS3 weapons were not intended to be seen every game, and KS2-level donation was not meant to be the go-to for every single good player because it gave you 80 adren and either gave your team a free kill or two, a noob blowing himself up, or a good player a KS3 with which to farm more streaks with. If you game the donation system, waiting until only good players are alive to donate, you can get serious benefit out of KS2-level donations. Sometimes you see the famed double cannon pass, in which two good players left alive with KS2s pass the cannons to each other.
The Donation system was primarily to get killstreak weapons into the hands of lower-skilled players due to complaints about how hard streaks were to get. They now do get such weapons, the ones at KS2, and can reasonably be expected to have KS1s. I do not see any reason for anyone but the best of players to ever see KS3.

I dunno what you meant by that post, but I assure you that everyone who legitimately gets a Killstreak 3 uses it.

Re: Ivor Bigun
I know it's not the place to start this discussion but i will do it nonetheless
Why oh why do we have those superweapons and airstrikes and whatever there also exists.
I really don't get the point of giving a superweapon to a good player.
Because good players can have some more fun and kill some more ?
So bad players get more frustrated ?
The best players with the best weapons against bad players with normal weapons.
Very logical.....
In my opinion the superweapons should go to the badest players so we even out the game.
It makes the game more fun for them, and more competetive for the better players.
Perhaps the better players should be the one who earn those weapons, but they should automatically be given to the badest player of his team.
Think about it.

I know it's only a game, dude.
Difference between you and me, is that when i get a superweapon i don't use it.
What's the point ??? A higher score? A few more kills?
I believe that those superweapons are given to the wrong players.
Only remark i have is that there would be a lot more spamming when bad players use them.
So perhaps you guys should just get rid of them.

Re: Discussion - The Killstreak System
Split to the appropriate topic. If you know Ban Appeals is not the right place to start a discussion please don't do so anyway.
Killstreaks were added as a way to keep superweapons in the game. They would otherwise have been cut entirely. For some of the better players, killstreaks add interest and motivation not to die. The donation system was added to get these weapons into the hands of lower tier players, and I've no intention of rewarding people for bad play. If someone is bad, gets superweapons for being bad and then ends the streak of a good player through no other reason than because the game fed him an advantage, what's the point of being good?

Re: Discussion - The Killstreak System
My point is that not everyone are upper tier players,Myself crappy ping which holds me back.So i play Defence alot. But im not a bad player.Ive noticed most the Elite/Top 10... players can take any weapon and kick ass with it.Its a game. And i do enjoy better players making myself better. But you can only go so far.Try thinking of the not so great players and have fun.Ping is everything.Give us our Defence weapons.Top 10 wont use them anyways.Unless they want to prove a point.Which to myself is crap. How about something when your trying to run away cause you know someone coming for you.Acid is Nerf which is BS to myself.I was able to block other as i ran .Over all i love it.But it always can be better.Play your partAzarael wrote:I dunno what you meant by that post, but I assure you that everyone who legitimately gets a Killstreak 3 uses it.
