Missing some old guns.
Is there absolutely zero chance of the old SKBPv10 models making a reappearance? I understand their functionality is probably a bit void at this point, with plenty of other guns to fill in the needs that they took care of however I'd really like to play at least offline with the Colt Carbine model (the one with the chaff rifle grenades) and the RS04 (.45 handgun).
I've mentioned this before I'm sure but what the hell, I'll ask again.

Gonna have to say I agree with Capaco. Even if the differences in functionality are not immediately obvious, it's nice to just have a fuckload of choices.
That being said; I have to ask if there is the potential for server/client stability loss as a result of firearm saturation?

Re: Missing some old guns.
Stability, not really, the server could handle any amount.
The issue is the sheer volume of files required to support it. Every player who joins the server has to download all the assets. If you have a 'fuckload of choice', then you have to download 100's of MB of files, perhaps even more than a GB.
On a server that is already hurting for players, creating a huge download barrier between the server and new players is not the best of ideas.

An easier appropriation of the files would help with that. Even now my offline install lacks most of the sweet feature the server has. Too n00b to look for a download I guess.
Anyway, if they're too impatient to download a few hundred megabytes they don't deserve to play. Fuck 'em.
