Is this really bad cheating?

Is this bad?
MouseWheelDown=fov 115
MouseWheelUp=fov 80

It's seen in the server check and allowed.

After telling a popular play3r on the server ive been called a bot.
Is FOV change allowed or not?

More than happy to send out ini to anyone.

Does switching it rapidly provide some sort of advantage? Im pretty sure that lots of players play with altered constant FOV, otherwise its just painful for widescreen users.

FOV switching on the fly is effectively a 'mini zoom' and has been known to have been used competitively by professional players. In essence the person you are trying to hit becomes wider when you have a smaller FOV which gives you an advantage.

It does not make me more accurate as my FOV is 115 most of the time.
Wide FOV such as 115 was used by trick jumpers years ago and that's why
I use it. Not that you can trick jump on LDG anyway, I wish we could.

In fact I'm less accurate than I could be at 115. Lower FOV slows down your
opponents and shows them as a larger target.
Yes it is a mini zoom, but some players have differing FOV per weapon change
anyway.

Thanks guys nice to know I'm not seen as a cheat.

Shooting down Raptors is much easier with a S/rifle and a FOV of 80 rather than FOV 100.

We could make it so that if you change your FOV you also commit suicide

I thought this server didn't allow big changes of FOV (maybe confusing it with a different one)
