Question about static meshs in Mylevel

Post by pie » Sun 11 Mar , 2018 12:25 pm

I've got static meshes in Mylevel that I have never added to my map.
I think it might have happened when I couldn't save my map so I did
a copy and paste of my original map into a empty map.

Any ideas please?
Can I delete them somehow or is it not a problem? .=

I just did the strangest fix for the above. I pressed "toggle dock status" button, UTed crashed then when I started UTed again Mylevel was normal. Can't belive that it's fixed so soon after my last message (been bugging me all week). I'm not even sure that fixed it tbh.

If you loaded another map before loading your own map, those 'mylevel' meshes from the other map will still be present in your own map static mesh list - they would have disappeared had you saved and quit, and reloaded your own map up. The crash merely 'quit' the editor, and because those meshes weren't present in your map (only in the list), then they wouldn't appear again when you reloaded.

Aye, we know of its worth, yet in knowing we then attach to it a value, we guard the giving of it, believing it must be earned. Compassion is priceless in the truest sense of the word. It must be given freely. In abundance.”

Thank you Earl, now I understand! I was going mad thinking about why that happens.
