For those who haven't heard about it, Epic will close some servers for its older games, including all Unreal games, that is:
The official statement here:Unreal Gold
Unreal II: The Awakening
Unreal Tournament 2003
Unreal Tournament 2004
Unreal Tournament 3 (Note: We have plans to bring back online features via Epic Online Services in the future.)
Unreal Tournament: Game of the Year Edition
https://www.epicgames.com/site/fr/news/ ... dated=true
It means the server browser won't work anymore and all Epic hosted servers as well.
However, there is an alternative called Openspy where you'll be able to find the servers that have registered there, see the list here: http://beta.openspy.net/en/server-list/ut2004
To see them in your game, there is a small modification to do: got to your UT2004/System folder and open the file UT2004.ini (for UT2003 find UT2003.ini...) and look for the following part
Code: Select all
[IpDrv.MasterServerLink]
MasterServerList=(Address="ut2003master1.epicgames.com",Port=28902)
MasterServerList=(Address="ut2003master2.epicgames.com",Port=28902)
Code: Select all
[IpDrv.MasterServerLink]
MasterServerList=(Address="utmaster.openspy.net",Port=28902)
