Dragonfly

Post by iZumo » Sun 15 Jan , 2012 10:34 am

I've updated Dragonfly, however didn't figure out exact cause of the different handling between online / offline mode at this moment.

Version 3:
- draws also pitch on HUD, not just roll
- fixed instant kill when vehicle is flipped
- hopefully driver not taking damage anymore
- polished control (reduced bank forces aroun 45 degrees a bit)
- HUD displays your targets

Ahhhh, so it's not just me. I had to up the sensitivity by around 5x to get it similar!

Version 4:
- Added Unarmed Dragonfly for trials
- fixed floppy netcode, dragonfly handling should be same offline & online
- dragonfly sensitivity toggled to be more like old versions in multiplayer
- "Bad Pitch / Roll" message improved
- HUD will only display populated vehicles

The best.

I look forward to many more happy hours placing on Bono a shining Dragonfly Bomb.

Ahahahahaha... Dream on.
Its all about the game, and how you play it
All about control, and if you can take it
All about your debt, and if you can payit
Its all about pain and whos gonna make it...

Did you fix it showing empty vehicles on the HUD?

You mentioned you would but it is not included in your notes

Version 5:
- reverted to older netcode and handling; and hopefully fixed the "variant sensitivity" including different handling in SP / MP
- dragonflys are heavier
- lift force is rapidly reduced when you're on low speed
- thrust force is rapidly reduced when you're rising under sharp angle
- fixed altfire sound

Note: It's crouching nicely, stadium race needs a fix in the trial area for this (will do).
