This would require a big set of mapfixes, just like when they were fixed for initial Nitro Vehicles releases (I wonder if there are "pre-nitro" map versions somewhere, would like to remind myself all the glitches I forgot :P). I suppose you meant jump like "boing TC-1300 toilet has".

I mean a small jump, as little as is necessary to provide the ability to dodge projectiles. I'm not thinking of anything which could provide any significant bypass power. Think half of the current Hellbender jump when max charged.

Though in all honesty, wouldn't jumping to dodge projectiles just overlap the shield role?

It'd be more active and potentially skill-based than a limited shield which lasts a while.

Actually the Straight projectile (Plasma, Sentinel laser), Shotgun fire and Healbeam scorps does exists :)

Just saw this thread for the first time.

One thing to said, if you wanna some nice ideas remember CarmageddonTDR3000: huge but heavy (slow) bombs, mines (including skins), teslalighning (make it short range and low damage, but autoaim), flamethrower, springhummer (make it short range and low damage, but huge momentum), and many other very fun stuff.

Another thing to note that all this stuff should not be available at one scorpion but a garage should have multiple types of scorpions so the choice would be more important at the beginning and impossible to change as with usual weapons. Because just imagine what chaos will be good players available to do if they will have all stuff at one vehicle. TDR multiplayer will be a kindergarden against that.

That's the point, Pala. If a Scorp can be made which requires skill to fight with, then the mission is complete.

I can't believe I didn't think of this sooner, but while considering a related idea I came up with this:

Have the Scorp surrounded by small shield generators, which make the vehicle vulnerable when:

a) all are destroyed
b) one is disabled temporarily.
