I agree with Izumo, I don't see who would want to play VCTF... But we still can try.

Perhaps if there are VCTF maps which are heavily race motivated: that is with nitro vehicles and vehicle for everyone and without tank defenders etc.
Good thing is that quatum scorps (when they will have vampire) are perfectly suitable for that.

Well, the name is "VCTF". I was hardly going to have them load up stock CTF maps with no vehicles. It just so happens that giZmo played VCTF and can advise on maplist. At first I'll only be enabling a couple of maps, so that there's an easy break point if people rage.

Yeah but VCTF still has just a "few" vehicles like assault. Not for everyone. Racers won't like that.

Try the VCTF, you cant loose. And maybe some new Player joins, when they see it.

Don´t get me wrong, i sure appreciate this idea cause i played the mod for 5 years before i stranded here...
But i think the usual clientel of the AS/Race simply won´t like this gametype cause it´s something complete different.
On the other hand there is no reason for not trying it cause hopefully im wrong
Note to Izumo: If this is going to work im gonna need a x-fire notification script for messaging me if vctf is voted^^

Might as well test it by adding it to the voting gameconfig on the construction server this coming weekend, since it's sitting unused. That way you can keep the AS server happy.

We actually have experimental server set up, but we figured that is not an option (wouldn't get populated).

The problem is that most assault players are noobs who spam to defend and spam to destroy objectives. Their instinct is that the new objective to defend is the flag and the offense needs to kill the flag carrier. (Mobile objective)
Make a mut that does the assault objective beacon on the flag carrier and they will be satisfied to spam their noob friendly modified weapons and cicadas.

32 players on a map with only one choke point tends to turn into spam fests. Once the construction server is up and self sufficient, my buddy and I are going to work on some Epic style and quality AS maps to better fit the huge player numbers.
