Re: just a man ban
Welcome sir,
Please review this case from my point of view, and not from a ready-to-blow volcano (with all due respect)...
All the accusations made in one of his previous posts are absolutely misleading in that they are OPINIONS.
The fact that a person does not like a characteristic of another does not mean to say that the latter can be bullied.
Purpose of a ban? To make the person at fault reflect on his actions and learn from the mistakes.
I am telling you now, I have learned my "lesson": Changing teams is a BIG no-no.
That's all I wanted to say.
I am ready to move on, to enjoy the services you and your team have to offer.
Thank you for your understanding.

Understand that the ban was given not for attitude but for the misuse of the team balancer, and that ban lengths are not shortened based on the sentiment of the bannee - otherwise, all banned players would try emotional tactics. In order to appeal this ban you must show either that the punishment given for the offense was excessive or that the offense was misrepresented or did not exist.

Re: just a man ban
I am sure you might have heard me say "open a slot for me in red/blue" on some occasions.
My intentions (<--- the magic word) are always for the health of the game.
I will do my best to keep a match fair and even.
If I get no response, I relax and wait. No problem.
Honest truth: the match I got banned was Zanzibar freon... i cannot remember what I did wrong.
Four long matches after that one, I got an in-game ban message saying I messed things up in Zanzibar...
No warnings, no explanations... only BAM!

Starts on blue
> ~just.a.fish`: uneven teams
> 'Extreeme.: na it even
// skip
> ~just.a.fish` became a spectator.
> Checkmate is now on blue.
> TitanTeamFix: Checkmate has been switched to balance the teams
> Checkmate: ...........
// skip
> TeRen$h: sb... join
> ~just.a.fish` entered the game.
> ~just.a.fish` is now on red.
2b) Forcing players to switch teams by going into spectator mode and then taking their place is considered to be manipulation of the team balancer.
You cannot rejoin without admin permission after switching someone with a spec.

Re: just a man ban
Good God please tell me (gizmo!) this is a joke
I thought i got banned for the "OTHER" change i made...
Check through those lines again... you will see me change again....
Gizmo left, and I evened up....
This spectator move happened for real reasons! I got a call on my mobile and it lasted at least a minute!
Please understand what I am saying, case of misunderstanding right here!

This makes it more difficult. Context is ambiguous - you comment on uneven teams and then spec resulting in a switch, but the net result in terms of skill if you and Checkmate were to swap is zero. You don't mention that you're on the phone, which would have helped a lot. You do switch later for the purpose of the game balance.
Rule 2b is also less clear than desired in that it requires provable intent that you intended to abuse the balancer and does not make it clear that rejoining after someone is switched by the balancer due to your spec is not considered acceptable.
Would reduce ban length, personally.

There I was, thinking I got banned for this reason...
> giZmo became a spectator.
> ~GrrrrrÄnni~[TeamSay:Blue]: ty
> ~just.a.fish` is now on blue.
I have no remembrance of what actually happened at that start of match, other than I went to spectate. I had no clue that another player (Checkmate) got shuffled around the teams.
I must apologize for this action. It was never my intention.

Re: just a man ban
I'm going to reduce the ban to 3 days (an effective lift) and amend Rule 2b to correspond to how admins enforce teambalancer-related conduct. Please bear in mind in future the rules on the balancer, as any future transgressions will not have the benefit of such ambiguity.

My savior, you are an angel. I must thank you from my heart.
From now on, I will be extra vigilant when dealing with gizmo (no offense intended!) because I have noticed that small, under-the-table actions can grow to bite me later on (e.g. caps lock in team-say).
Thanks once again, and see you around.

Re: just a man ban
I would advise against sniping against giZmo in your posts. But yes, for the record, administrators can read Teamsay.
