Hmm, added poll to first post. Let's first see what others think.

isn't this directly against the rules???

5a) Do not use the tag of a clan you are not in.
5b) Do not fake as a member or any other player.
If you have position 2 and 3 you are surely "yourself" in only one.

This is an unfair way of doing it and biased.

It's common knowledge most people don't enjoy change so would dismiss such a game type before even trying it. Not to mention a lot of people aren't even familiar with TAM.

Please lets just do physical trialing rather than just theoretical polling.

AM (Arena Master)/TAM (Team Arena Master) is a modification to the Last Man Standing gametype... That is all you need to know...
I know I will suck in this because is not the type of game with my gamestyle... Are the patient ones that are winning here, you need to hide, snipe and sneaky kill... Most of the average players will die in the beginning of each round and then Just see the others kill... Less playtime for noobs, more time for experienced ...

This is no different to Freon (the hanging back and sniping aspect). Everyone partakes in that.

There is no written rule against holding two positions on the ladder. What actually happened was that I was using my second CD-key as a weapon test account and it actually rose to just under my main account, so I deleted the second account.

Hmm, I'd see Freon as a "lesser league" to TAM actually. Freon is much more open to newcomers, that's why they chose it over TDM. And even in TAM, if you're the last man, you'd hide to get a good spot, because if you run in the open, you're dead, so the rounds would be long again. It would just mean that the waiting players have 0 chance if getting thawn => more boredom. Also some tech things like UTComp addon is implemeted for Freon.

No, you wouldn't hide, since there is anti camp and hiding gains you nothing.

Let us not forget that TAM, not Freon, is now the dominant competitive gametype of standard UT2004. As iRobot says, people know how TAM works. They don't bother to hide at the end of rounds. It has never been a problem.

Anticamp is same for Freon. In TAM you'd go and pick a stealthly position (with sniper) if the map allows it. That's just quite similar in a manner of the round length.

Yeah but the playerbase of TAM is very different from our playerbase at BW #1. Also the maps I saw on TAM servers didn't allow much hiding, so obviously it wasn't a problem. Or there is a TAM server with maps like Goatswood?
