Raising those towers so damn high would make the SPMA almost useless, since they could only cover long distance.

pirates have an advantage of not getting autobanned when glitching

I thought the same but i tried them out they have exactly the same range(close and long) as they did lower. If not the alternate idea would be to place them on the side in the lava pits on the left and right.

Just "raise the sky" erm celiing (or make it more proper) np.
