What do you mean by backup? If you mean that anything was downloaded off the server, then no that didn't happen. Just the normal Minecraft backup script was started before the server was turned off to save the map.

What happened, after all?
i noticed, that the site was defaced. i saw word "hahahaha" on the main page.
i suspect that all data on the server was lost, right?

Looks like a miscommunication. DB sent me a PM asking if I have "backed up the Minecraft server". This is the only information (now memory) we got.
Right when the script finished, I sent back "we have backed up everything right now" and server got shut down.
If you meant an OFFLINE backup,
Local backup on the server is all we did. We're in a pretty shitty situation if it's lost.
