Re: Ballistic Bro Changelogs Discussion
I fully agree with Izumo here cause with any value of standart FF your life is in the hands of your team which is not worth much if your team consists of ppl with a nervous forefinger. FF might fit to any other gametype where you can instandly respawn but not to freon where staying alive is one of the deeper meaning of the game.
If players are responsible for their own health they care about not shooting a teammate but if it is about the health of a teammate most will give a shit.

Re: Ballistic Bro Changelogs Discussion
A FF/rFF split seems a fair compromise to me, but I would still have the rFF larger on principle. People will always look for ways to grief when bored/frustrated, and larger rFF is surely needed to minimize that.
And I'm looking forward to proportional thaw - I don't know how some of the (nameless) lower skilled have the patience to play Freon, let alone AM/TAM.

Do people in general actually WANT proportional thaw? Because I'm not going to add it if it's just going to lead to accusations like "they made low skills thaw faster so there are more people to farm lololol"

Proportional thaw will be frustrating. You can just play medic style by not killing at all, getting low skill and fast thaw rate. You get killed, but eventually defreeze fast and then thaw your more skilled teammates easily.
RFF tolerance though however could be fully proportional to your skill (such as for each 1.xx skill above average you can shoot your teammates for 100 dmg without rFF).

50/50 FF/rFF split would be the best for me. Don't go with BW into too complicated rules - misunderstanding, mischief and forum's whines guaranteed.

Then force people on the list to use aim and make FF to take their aim off.Azarael wrote:@Spin: You benefit from being added to the list in that you can never again be complained about or harassed because you walked into someone else's fire.

Also I like the idea of split FF.

Any thought been given as to what to do with the secondary fire on the Staves since melee is being moved to dedicated key?

Re: Ballistic Bro Changelogs Discussion
Just to clarify, deployed weapon damage reduction increases the higher the weapon is mounted in relation to the surface the player is standing on, so:
Deployed on sandbags player is standing behind = high protection
Deployed on ground in open = nil protection
I like it.
Feels a little weird having an inventory slot devoted to three items, but I like the change overall.

Re: Ballistic Bro Changelogs Discussion
Correct, as per discussion with Aberiu on previous pages. I won't suggest it's a viable option, I'm readding it because it was requested.
