The mentality of "1$ = 1x" is pretty frustrating. Blizzard do it for their games too. End up paying 20-30% more just because we pay in GBP.

It's because of VAT. In US, you do pay sales tax, but that's determined by your billing address (i.e. if you pay smth with Oregon billing address, there is no sales tax and therefore no extra charge, California has some 7.5% - 10% or smth like that, if you buy it internationally then there is no sales tax). In Europe, our 20% VAT or smth. simply makes up for the bloody conversion 1 USD = 1 EUR ._.

It doesn't. The conversion rate for GBP to USD was 1:1.6 as far as I last saw. They're dicks, nothing more.

Also this Origin country retardation is bound to release dates as well it seems (well right now I actually am in US and don't need VPN), Dragon Age Inquisition now shows 18th November instead of 21st.
