Perhaps, the smoke could stay for longer?

Perhaps the smoke can cause breathing difficulties which will reduce your run speed and make you have to stop for breath in later rounds.

YO :D
Its been 2 years since last post here, and since that time I guess nothing changed on the nades.
Anyone using them? I was thinking about some effects for it yesterday and I got 2 ideas:
1) While standing in smoke you can't thaw (will not affect teammates)
2) Smoke will drain your stamina and slow your reload/fire rate?

The M58 should definitely have other bonuses because right now, the Chaff is the far better option. It does damage, is instant (no fuse) , has a melee (which is better than your normal melee) , and disorientates. I think that if the M58 had either or both of those ideas, it would be a perfectly viable option! :)

What if you got a thaw bonus while you were inside the smoke? It would allow you to throw the grenade and thaw people nicely while under the cover of smoke. Would give it a purpose, at least.

I guess it all depends on whether it is used aggressively or not. Could it have faster thaw time for your team, and slower thaw time for theirs?
