Of course there is, its two teams competing against each other. Stronger players on one team will destroy the game just as it would for DM, Freon, Assault or Onslaught.

I dont want to join the conversation about if it matters in RACE or not since it would make my topic more complicated now.
I can only say that I definatly did not spectate myself. I minimized UT when mapvoting started on the previous map (I didnt even vote myself because I just played to kill boredom), refreshed the forum page, saw there was a new comment in the Assault Ladder topic and then replied to it. After I submitted my post, I maximized UT again and was spectating somehow. I couldnt explain it to myself and actually didnt care how and why I was spectating, I just joined again because I didnt expect that I wouldve created any teambalance (which I actually didnt if you think about it). Take a look at the log:

Teams have become uneven after my character has been forced into spectate mode somehow and someone has been switched to blue. That means before that it must be something like 4 on blue, 5 on red. Then my character spectated = 3 on blue 5 on red. Teams got fixed = 4 - 4. When I maximized the game again I got put into the red team which makes it 4 - 5 again. No team gained an advantage of one more player.

I know that I have played for at least 5 minutes on Deathrace before I got kicked/banned and it took another few minutes until Socio has put the topic up.
The chatlog surely looks like I abused the team balancer on purpose, but I can only say that I minimized before deathrace was even voted, wrote the reply, maximized UT, found myself spectating for some unknown reason and then simply joined again. The only evidence it the time of the two posts Socio and me made. You can believe my story and let it be, I know that I am saying the truth and that I do not deserve this ban at all. And tbh why would I abuse the teambalancer on a 4-5 race map, seriously why? You guys know me well and I never ragequit/ragespec and I would even play 2 vs 10 on a Racemap without complaining or even 1 vs 10 if I could finish the objectives on my own. Now why would I abuse the teambalancer on purpose in such a trivial game and risk a ban for it?
