I seriously doubt (what's left of) your user base will complain about having more choices, and it might even attract new users. I've never heard anyone complain about having too many choices, but they will definitely complain or just move on to other options when choices are severely limited, which I honestly think is part of your problem.

Choices AREN'T limited.

One of my major complaints for a long time was that the same maps were played every day. The server went through a phase where Highlander would be played for an hour in primetime EVERY EVENING. Why is that happening? Because the players are MAKING it happen.

There is a wide choice of maps - it's just that nobody actually wants to PLAY any new maps. They develop their preference for the top maps and vote those ad nauseum, judging any other map that gets voted as if it were one they'd played for years.

You may be confusing asking for more choice with reverting mapfixes, which is more accurate to what happened before.

Yea. I believe, Highlander is one of the best maps on the server. If not the best.
So agree mostly everyone else.
It's just like beauty contest. Those with most points win. And there are enough
high-scored maps on the server to fill all evening time.
Nobody wants less then a perfection. Real masterpiece maps.

Well, they way I see it there is a group of players who like their favourite maps (or more like CS) as well as there is a group of players wanting more maps actively played and sounds like it is in status quo.

Disable for a week 6 most played maps.Lets see if ppl stay and vote instead
