1) While standing in smoke you can't thaw (will not affect teammates)
2) Smoke will drain your stamina and slow your reload/fire rate?

No need for this imo. It just has to last way longer so it can actually benefit other weapons. Currently if you throw a smoke grenade by the time you switch to your mars2 the smoke is almost gone, which is why it's useless.

The problem is the fact that you're using the mars-2.

In all seriousness, it doesn't need a longer duration. I think (don't quote me) that it lasts longer than chaff anyways. It just needs something to set it apart from the chaff, which is currently far superior.

Old smoke lasted like 30 sec. It was useful.
