Re: Bug Report Topic / Invasion Discussion
Wow. That's actually a pretty good idea. But I can just make them magic again cause I use mwm but it would be great for emwm. Maybe it should cost 0-5 adren so can save instead of enchanting again? Just thoughts but great idea.

Re: Bug Report Topic / Invasion Discussion
Clearly the SW nerf needs looking at, it would seem there's a lot of things linked in to enchantments. Simply disabling all enchantments doesn't stop you from picking up one thats been randomly enchanted, nor does it allow you to unenchant a negative enchantment meaning your weapon slot is now blocked up with a useless weapon and no way to change it or even toss the weapon.
Removing all enchantments does seem a bit harsh too, there's plenty of minor enhancements there that don't bork the balance of things up. Can we not make certain enchantments unavailable for certain weapons to fix the majority of the problem (things that may occur randomly on pickup would be a rarity rather than planned enchanting repeatedly until the one of choice is found)
I know on certain waves when there's like 60+ heavy duty monsters at you, it's nice to have something that doesn't require 20+ shots to put down.

Really in terms of balance, only the LAW is being used to excess in shockwave mode, but I'd much prefer anyone crying about weaponry to actually play a bit on the server before armchair generalizing and helping get changes made that may not actually have been needed.Incidentally the person crying about the lucky LG forgot one important fact. Unlimited ammo regeneration or no, it doesn't actually matter because in addition to an ammo counter the LG has OVERHEAT, so you can't actually leap around with an infinite clip killing all in sight because the weapon gets hot, hurts you and finally refuses to fire. Maybe might be an idea to declassify this as a SuperWeapon perhaps???

I don't really care who's quote this is and if that person "crying about the lucky LG" is me, but he clearly hasn't got a clue about what he is talking about. As it would be so challenging to hold down the reload button for a few seconds to cool down your LG then continue to sweep everything in front of you with only a click per monster. Declassify it as a super weapon? Thats just stupid preposition, excuse my French. And the only reason the (lucky) LG is not used as much as the (lucky) LAW is that the LG is only available on the couple of maps, for a very limited amount of time (first minute of 1st wave or something like this) and even on those maps in this time frame, you cant be certain to score it because sometimes its replaced by a peacemaker or something idk.
If it would be spawned in a regular SW spawn spot I believe it would be used even more than a LAW.

Re: Bug Report Topic / Invasion Discussion
So by definition then we've ended up nerfing a weapon thats:
randomly spawned
only appears on a couple of maps
when it does show, it's only available for 2 minutes???
Not exactly world class exploitation material is it...
Jesus wept, surely there's better things to go after. Especially as we've now succeeded in hobbling all the big hitting weapons now. Despite the fact that the higher enhancements being unavailable for them anyway.
It's not even like other players are being disadvantaged or endlessly fragged because of it, the only things being killed are monsters...
way to go people.
Like I said earlier, rather than a knee jerk reaction, I think a bit more time spent would have a better result on tweaking any other these weapons, as it's clearly not as simplistic as it appears at first glance.
Aza: can we revisit this recent change please.

Re: Bug Report Topic / Invasion Discussion
In my opinion, the issue is with the LAW mines only. It is easy kill farming just to shoot, hide, reload, repeat... and when there are several of them then there is no chance to shoot any monsters for the other players. Maybe LAW shall be limited by round(wave) or just it to be not available; for the other SW's in my opinion they are ok, they require aiming and active shooting.

Of course that the other players are not in disadvantage, when you farm bosses with a lucky LG (possibly even double damaged) like little fairies (especially the ones without an armor), with a single hit or a single "magazine" (makrons for example). Other players just don't gain any exp from it, no biggie. And I am not jerking anyone, its just a fact, which can be easily seen, but if not, I can live with it, no problem.

Re: Bug Report Topic / Invasion Discussion
I'd be more inclined to simply remove the LAW & reverse the other changes on SW, as they already have been balanced. now it seems too that sandbags are classed as SW & can't be enchanted. Seriously the way everything is interlinked just cocks it all up. Just lose the LAw & leave everything else as it was 2 days ago.
Butcher raised a point that at least with LG 7 everything else you have to aim & move about, the shockwave thing just gives you oodles of XP with zero risk. I'm still trying to get the game edged to move/run/shoot rather than hide out & camp or you die. We're part way there, but it's not possible if all the weaponry gets nerfed

Re: Bug Report Topic / Invasion Discussion
No exp for the others with Lucky OP weap' ? And what about normal weap' with VORPAL enchante ? It's just the same but you can make instant kill with just ONE hit (hello instant kill on Cyberdemon o/ muh >1.400 exp for ONE hit).
Like in all RPG/MMORPG etc: you simply CAN NOT make a perfect gameplay for each characters/weap'. When you've a higher level, you've higher ability. Some of them give a better advantage than a random players (ghost/multi jump/translocator/utility artifact etc etc) who have a lower level than you..
Dunno how to write this in English so I used the google translation (it sucks, I know
) for this:
"You can not create a perfect balance between weapons/enchante. It will ALWAYS an advantage for certain weapons/enchante (better damage, better range), even if they are the same type." (with google translation)
Just see what are the most used weapons G5/Firestorm/Acid
Why they're so much used ? Higher damage than the others same type, better penetration against monsters'shield etc...
The better balance about OP weap'/enchante: only one enchante (just kiddin') & no OP weap' (as I said in a previous message: OP weap' still infinite.. Just need Lucky enchante on an other weapon or Looter to have ammo..).
Btw: unable to enchante sandbags with EMWM and Medic maker still have inf' OP weapons (like flamethrower).

Re: Bug Report Topic / Invasion Discussion
Vorpal has a low proc chance. Lucky does not.
Anything that lets you farm thousands of exp while hiding round a corner should not be in the game. LAW should be removed from invasion outright, as it's only that weapon causing the issue here. A 'Lucky' M290 for example is fine.

I don't understand the lg rage, it's only on like 3 maps, for about 60 secs. And pretty much anyone with EHWM does huge damage on a boss regardless of the weapon, but yanno, they have gone through the levels, saved up stat points and spent it on EHWM (which itself has been nerfed recently) they weren't just given it, they earnt it, you can't penalise people for being high level.
Perhaps each wave end boss should give out XP to all players like the venom (obviously not as much) that way it's not just the guy with the biggest gun who gets the benefit. The game is supposed to be like a team coop, everyone helps to kill all the monsters, perhaps everyone should have a share of any reward, maybe Aza can share his thoughts on this.
