The answer isn't to remove Vorpal/any other enhancement, the answer is to remove Mega Adren.

The quick, easy, and lazy way would be to remove vorpal, but the fact remains mega adren is like a big cheat.

We already have a mechanism for adren, it's called Surge & the timer one (I forget its name), you get those by accumulating stat points & paying for them, this makes it good, and balanced.

With the maga adren out of the picture, it would be genuinely rare for anyone to get Vorpal etc, which again is balanced & how the enhancement was supposed to be. No one is going to mind someone getting lucky on a rare occasion.

What isn't balanced is the mega adren spawns on those maps where it is (there's quite a lot) it just encourages people to sit out the first x rounds, get a humongous enhancement then step in on round 16 & make everyone else's scores look pitiful.

I'll also weigh in on the infinity invulnerability that happens, what can be done to stop that?

Mega Adren is absolutely retarded and I agree with Satin. If you're going to make everything so easy, just start everyone off with Vorpal and save them the trouble of sitting on adren spots rolling enchantments they're guaranteed to get anyway.

I strongly disagree with the way the server's gone towards being a complete cakewalk.

Thought I would put this here.. There seems to be a lot of balancing problems with bw weapons in invasion. This mod might be a nice idea to consider in a worst case scenario.

Gives you adrenaline for damage. With energy acid and adrenaline-related skills you can get 200 adrenaline in 2-3 shots. It doesn't deal much damage but with energy weapon and invulnerability you never die.

If I was to decide I'd remove mega adrenaline from maps or replace it with small pills to avoid camping and reduce vorpal damage so the time spent on getting it wasn't worth it any more.

I'm curious - why is the Acid Gun still so favored? It lost its FP7-alike altfire in favor of a charge-based implementation which spawns fewer pools a long time ago, so it shouldn't be as ridiculous as it once was.

Acid is good for it's primary fire, not alt. I'm not sure about why exactly but my guess is - it's fast, deals huge damage but inaccurate and shoots projectiles. The problem is, we are fighting big monsters in Invasion, so accuracy doesn't really affect anything.
You can use LS14 without aiming for example, and still land pretty much every shot, especially in bossfight.

What really kills weapons here is the reloading time. Maybe a fast reloading skill could fix this situation.

Has a x2 damage modifier in Invasion in addition to the basic PvP quality of damage increase over range. Fixed. There are some other things I'm going to make a pass over as well. Expect totem walls to stop blocking monsters and start blocking BW hitscan and Poison Blast to cease owning bosses.

Also, from what I understand, acid shoots multiple projectiles per shot, which means that vorpal acid +20 has way more than 20% chance to deal extra damage. It feels like every second shot is lethal.

Vorpal multiplies the damage of the hit that triggered it by a set amount in the LDG version of RPG.

Yep, but the chances are higher than you could expect, because every shot contains like 6 (?) blobs of acid and at least one of them always triggers vorpal damage. At least this is how it looks like from a player's point of view, I don't know how does it work exactly.
