The same happens with Assaulters: when RACE is chainvoted, they eventually RQ ;
Well i do this, except I usually spec instead of quit. What gets me fed up is when you get a chain of race maps that are all hellbender race variations, and if feels like you are playing the same map over and over again, that gets me bored/annoyed really quickly.

How about we make it so your vote weight = your game net.

I will play race or assault. I tend to get annoyed when 6 or 7 race maps are chain voted, and we struggle to get assault. Maybe if the racers actually learnt how to play as part of a team then they might enjoy assault more. Even when they are playing the race maps, its all about "they have got to get to the obj/end first" and woe be tide any team mate who gets in the way - they just get rammed off the road.
I wont even mention the voting points cos thats just like sticking my finger in an electric socket.
I read a comment from an earlier post about junkyard - imo its a brilliant teamwork map, again its the T word so of course racers will ctr that teams are stacked. Many times i have switched teams to help - still lost but at least we pulled it back abit. Ive seen socio switch to help and when we start to win then the other team start crying teams!
I usually rage tho if after 2 or 3 hours we are still playing race and assault maps have been outvoted each time. I dont play as often as i would like cos of work, and when i get a day off and i cant even play 1 single game of assault, i just quit the game and go watch some tv/film.
I agree with Aza on the point that some of the stronger players go in an clear the way to the obj so the others can get the obj and take the points. I do that on Ballx (love that map)
As to Derby, ive never been able to complete it so i dont bother, i tolerate the map now cos it has the portal to Deck17 - im not a strong player but like with any game, a change is nice once in a while.
Definately think Chocolate Factory should be put on the server, you said ppl rage Aza, well they do that anyway so nowt new there. Maybe stick it on the OLDZ menu. Along with the orginal scorp race where driving skill is the main objective and using ur nades from the assault rifle to stop the opposition. I downloaded a load of maps the other day, not had chance to go through them all yet, but im sure theres some good ones in there worth putting on.

Unfortunately, in this debate, we don't have a leg to stand on. While it is true that Assault is more skilled, a better gametype, has better quality maps and is how the game was meant to be played, these are all moral qualities. If raisers want shit, shit is what we must serve to keep the server alive and if non-shit has to be penalised to keep shit running (thinking specifically the Junkyard penalty here, which incensed me) then that's simply what we're going to have to do. I must admit that Izumo's actions, not necessarily his viewpoint (see: knd), are neutral. He's just trying to keep the server alive, and we Assault players are going to have to deal with it, especially since the server was originally pure race, and Assault was introduced upon a technicality. It's time to stop directing our anger at Izumo and onto the tossers who like shit and who are the reason we have to deal with the voting restrictions, Multifire and EMP.
Sadly, while Izumo is able to be persuaded occasionally (although he can be quite stubborn, yes I know I'm talking), the raisers were not, are not and never will be able to be persuaded to like or vote anything other than shite.
I'm feeling quite unbiased at the moment. Don't get used to such reasonable posts.
