I like the new texture but i agree it's too bright. Is there a possibility to darken it a bit?
Also I'm not a big fan of the "mirroring" effect on the roads. Would it be possible to do something like that rainbow unwheel race with transparent roads?

Yes a solid colour texture or transparency would be better than the colours moving with the camera. It gives it a very disorienting feel to it.

I'll see what I can do. The textures I used are from the light race from unwheel but I may have choosen the wrong texture (there was several its based on shaders and stuff) either way I'll mess about and see what can be done.

I think it is the wrong texture. You wanted Shader 1, not TexEnvMap or whatever it was

-Fixed track to the correct texture (new sf mesh track included in download v3)
-removed unnecessary weapon ammo pickups and removal of a mine layer pick up its not needed)
-Fixed the lighting to be less in your face. Its still bright but its a bit lower. If need be it can be reduced more.

Earl and I have been working on this map. So far we have fixed the following requested changes.
-Skybox has been replaced with that of the one on mushroom kingdom. (100% better and the theme fits perfectly!)
-Obj 2 first u turn has been shorted to reduce useless track drive time and to remove exploit.
-Trees have been given special lighting so they look better and not so weird..
-Fog beginning draw point has been increased out to 20,000 units. If this is to much let us know. Map isn't to demanding on computers so I think the fog is better set to be further away. That and having it start closer really effects the feel of the map/color.
-Banked turns have been tweaked to be smoother. (Less bouncing around)
The only thing holding us back now is the rainbow texture. We have been requested to reduce the brightness of the texture. This texture we are using is from light track from unwheel. From my research it will require some kinda of SpecularityMask. Earl and I are completely novice with this and it will require quite a bit of time to learn a whole new skill set. If someone with understanding of how to go about doing this can be kinda enough to assist in this area it would be greatly appreciated.
Side note: I would upload map but earl has latest version with his fixes.

I've also added some more movers, and saved the mover meshes to MyLevel instead of the, now redundant, slider package.

I also thought about making the first area a no kill zone like on NewScorpionCoaster to avoid the early spamming and death as soon as you get out of the base.
