The lack of movement prediction and timing has to be compensated, which effectively makes the weapon spam alike.

Maximising minigun damage requires aim to track the target extremely well. Notice that noobs don't use Link.

It's like fucking twilight zone in here.

On Race/AS server, minigun is shite, and on BW servers it's godlike.
~GrrrrrÖskå`~: why the fuck is everyone mini spamming

Hmm, you could call Link requiring "extremely well" aiming and yet giving you less DPS, I don't see Mini requiring some "extra" skill there. On the other hand the ammo drop was too hard.

With stated in the discussion, I'd see the changes to Mini:

- still keep damage done by the Minigun PRI also dependant on the target's health (100% for < 50, 60% for > 75, smooth transition), shields count as extra health here, this reduction is done before range attenuation.
- revert ammo back to previous version (100/200 +50), no ammo reduction in lockers

But we still have the issue with stombo spam. Apply greater ammo cost on them?

Mini is still useless and the functionality is obscured from the players.

Compared to the UT standard weapons, all BW are miniguns.

Do you really feel overspammed by stombos? Not so many people are using the shock anyway, and before you can be able to do a correct combo you necessarily use the stombo method. If you penalize people trying to learn, what's the point about crying over the minigun spam? Leave the Shock as it is =SS
Its all about the game, and how you play it
All about control, and if you can take it
All about your debt, and if you can payit
Its all about pain and whos gonna make it...

It's true. Okay, let's leave shock be (stombo is only cosmetic) and see if the "wall spam" on some areas can be resolved differently.

While it's functionality is hidden I don't find it useless as a finisher weapon (nerf obviously goes towards full HP attacks).

Why not just put the minigun back to stock for a week or so and actually witness the impact.

I doubt the minigun usage is as extreme as anyone is claiming.
