OLDZ doesn't use weapon balance pack btw. Obviously, if we didn't have Minigun spammers, we wouldn't have a kick to change it in the past.

No argument has been given for why the Minigun should be a finisher weapon. Link alt is the same weapon concept and it's not been touched. The Mini problem is its inaccuracy and the habituation of noobs towards spamming it, because that's what works on other servers.

If a radical approach to Mini is to be taken, it should be this: Zero spread, range attenuation.

To clean the spam in noob vs noob combats and profile it to how it's used by skilled (TAM) players. This is why I am for more radical change.

Skilled TAM players do not play Race/Assault. You're appealing to the wrong audience.

Looking to improve the Bio-Rifle primary. It's the only blatant suicide firemode outside of the starter weapons now.

A possible adjustment to the Bio-Rifle secondary (no charge holding) has also been suggested. It's actually very powerful at top tier play - I remember watching a player from SK-Gaming abuse it hardcore - but I personally don't care one way or the other w/r/t LDG.

We're meeting resistance from the better Assault players who are irritated that their movement is restricted during legitimate uses of the shield gun as well as when the weapon bugs and permanently limits your max jump count.

Additionally, I'm considering the possibility of using UT3's Stinger Minigun instead of the standard Minigun, with projectile-based primary fire.
