Put a light under it. You can make it light by itself, but this is confusing and thus not done.

When you see a realistic lighting in the game there are 3 Light at least !

One with a small radius for the lamp, one directionnal light for the lightnig effect and
sometimes one for ajusting the lighting for best realistic.

So, if is possible, i sometimes set the lamp Static Meshe to bUnlit but not in all situations !

sometimes (mostly) when i close ued it says 'The package x has been changed and needs to be saved. Save it now?

what in allahs name is this? i always clicked no cause someone told me so a long time ago, what happends if i click yes/no?

Dirty packages. Names are Package[n], where n is a number. Do not bother to save these packages, it's an artifact of UnrealEd.
