LDG-Gaming

Mentioned it to Socio in game, but might as well make a topic to see if everyone would be in for it.

I think it'd be cool to put banners in the all, or most, of the maps showcasing the website and forum a bit more. Socio's fine rais artwork could be a cool base for this.

Plus it seems like a good time to do it, as "LDG-Gaming.eu" sounds more flashy than "UT2004.thenicam.ch", no offense @ thenicam

Basically, just to get more people in on the forum and get the community going a bit.

Only having people coming here to complain about a glitch or a ban is a bit depressing.

Well there is a forum banner on the loading screen (not yet for BW) and a regular message reports it to chat. But agree, it would be a nice addition ot the maps too.

Its not a problem to crop the loading screen down to a fitting resolution and then submit it to mylevel to make a few banners.
The problem is tweaking all the race maps with it and then uploading them. Quite timetaking thing and will force lots of downloads for clients, so they can just see a LDG banner.

It could be with time, one by one to fixed maps. Will add a few banners like that, along the road on BlazingScorps once I'll get back to it.

No thanks, we have enough pro-LDG loading screens and in-game messages already. It's not a BAD idea but I just don't support it.

However, before we put the banner into the maps, it would be nice if Socio and I could work out a set of banners and sizes since I want to start building up ads on sites and partner forums etc (and vice versa).

Socio? Let me know when you have time for this.
