Solo Triggering Objectives in Race Maps
Please forgive me if I've missed a previous thread on this topic.
Many who play when server population is low deal with the possibility that the map won't end because they've no teammate. Additionally, many of us know that it is often still possible to open the garage solo. Several of us who play at low population times discuss the fact that it is not allowed (per discussion live on server with Aza) and most are able to come to a semi-truce agreement about it. In other words we agree that ending a map may be preferable to waiting for the clock to expire to get to the next one, and offer acceptance of solo triggering. Typically, with note, this truce ends as the teams even out... ie. when there are 4 or more players.
I was mentioning this earlier and Nidd was telling me to "Stop hatin', all the admins know we do it..." etc.
Didn't feel like I was hatin' . . . quite the contrary, I love this server and want to do what I can to help keep dialog open and ensure fun is had by all.
Where do we stand regarding solo triggering garage?

If player counts are low, and there's no alternative other than waiting 10+ minutes, then obviously you should just do the objective.
Wouldn't advise doing it during the peaker hours though.

Re: Solo Triggering Objectives in Race Maps
I dont mind when someone does objectives on RACE maps solo (with the help of a glitch), but only when there are 3 or less players. Generaly I would just advise people on voting Scoprion RACE maps, as on most of them you dont need a second person to complete an objective (ScorpionCoaster, Derby, FieryAxsis, CrazyRace, RaceTown, RoadRage or even BorderWorlds and SnowRace from Hellbender maps).

Our discussion, if I recall, involved me leaping in with rage without understanding the reasons why you were using the solo trigger. If the playercount is too low for the map to be completed, use the solo trigger method for now.

What is the solo method?
If you're advocating it's use, it is only fair for everyone to know how to do it.

I'd like to know it too. At one time, it was possible to put a first vehicle on the trigger to open the garage, and enter in it with a 2nd one. However some blocking volumes have been placed on these triggers (on all maps?) and it's no more possible to win this way :/
Its all about the game, and how you play it
All about control, and if you can take it
All about your debt, and if you can payit
Its all about pain and whos gonna make it...

I don't know exactly how it's done. From what I remember, you jump the vehicle onto the platform, trigger the gate, then enter your vehicle. This should stick the gate open.

so all know and fair is fair: Use weapon to move vehicle off pad.
--> Get vehicle on pad, exit vehicle, use weap to move vehicle off pad- rox, nades flakball etc., When the vehicle is far enough away from trigger the door will remain open when you get back in.
