Potential identity theft...

So i was just playing in the Ballistic server #1 under the name of "SantaLiu", but usually I use the name of "Liubot".
Then I see someone else who joined with the name 'Liubot'... That person changed his/her name to 'The_Frog' after he/she was asked to change it back.

It makes me worried because someone could be using my name, and is pretending to be me and it could potentially lead me into some trouble that I have no idea of.

Not sure how you guys (admins) can deal with it when you have 2 guys trying to be one person, how can I actually prove that I am the real one? IP address?

We can check people for their GUID (think of it as a crypted cd-key). If you give us your GUID, we can look up ingame whether it is you or not.

In case you don't know what GUID is: Don't worry. It is not possible to generate your cd-key out of the guid. You can give it out without any doubt.

Thanks, I was just worried that someone was messing around while pretending to be me. joinha

I tried the "cm whois" but it didn't do anything...
and the GUID is the long 32 digit code called "Unique ID/ messages" in my game settings? Do I post it directly here, or pm an admin?

Yup, that's the code. You can post it here.
