Well... let's look at this from a purely theoretical perspective.

Should players be penalised for jumping ship if they're on a team which they know is going to get hammered, given that such situations are undesirable anyway?

Also, I think Calypto is mad not because of the +50 for quitting when teams are unfavourable to his skill, but because of the later +100 attempt and now this strange issue with him having 4.75 skill.

Well, players gaming the system beyond a certain amount of "acceptance" (starting on +50 deaths, and then doubling it for example). Srsly, you find it fine when you're about to join blue (join red first), Calypso joins 0.001 s later and goes to blue instead and tells you to gtfo?

Also dafug? He has 4.75 skill? He has 5.74 on the web.

What I mean by jumping ship is refusing to play, i.e. going to spec.

Calypso claimed to have seen 4.25 skill last night (in mod chat). He does then note that the web says different.
