Re: Skill system
I totally agree with capaco. Enough data has been collected so far to create a reasonable skill balancer and it's much funnier to play without skills, & without some people saying "you x.xx shitter" or "no worries, he is only x.xx".

Re: Skill system
Regardless of whether you feel its more fun or not, if the removal of the skill system has no effect on the average server population, then it will return.

Re: Skill system
The reason it was removed was explained above.
Obviously if it has no effect it'll return.

Re: Skill system
How can you be so sure that the ppl who left cause they disliked skill system or mapchanges or weapons will come back just cause of 2 weeks oldschool?
And what if even more ppl will leave after skillsystem has been restored and the "old" maps have been removed again?
Maybe the playercount will increase, maybe it will stay the same, maybe it will get worse...nobody can tell...so the main goal should be keeping the playercount
at least like it is now.

Re: Skill system
There's no way of knowing whether those who have left will return. However, we can observe the effect on the playtime of those who are still here.

Re: Skill system
IMO the main problem were map removals.
Also skill is still tracked, it's just not shown
j/k

Re: Skill system
Tracking while hidden would give you accurate data as people wouldn't base their tactical decisions on how it would affect their skill rating.
