There were already too few maps in ldg and then he decides to delete 5 popular oldz maps.

Megafun benders are in RACE, instead of OLDZ. Also, GOD-DeathRace has been put back and CatRaceTrack got removed.

Jokes aside, I think the game would be better if benders always had this much knockback. The charge delay on the firing could be increased to compensate.

I just like how shields don't completely eliminate knockback, you still have to drive with some care and skill, and getting hit once sending you flying promotes more skillful use of shield timings and situational awareness.
Sadly, the only thing that kills me when driving is packetloss, but there is no shield for that.
