Server lag thread

Well, the UT2004/MC servers never caused lag for us, the only exception is when saving stats after freon. The only other possibility is when logs are dumped from invasion, but that happens rarely.

Yes, there is. And as I wrote earlier, the server is far from being overworked. It uses little more than 5% of its total processing power - even during peak times at the UT servers.

Yet, it's still the server, something, somewhere, hardware (interrupts)? bitching HDD?

Like IRobot pointed out. If its network/client related you'll glitch off the track (resuming game 3mtr ahead).
But in our case, we're ending up at the same spot again where the "lag" started, meaning the process/server is halted for a sec.

well Its only happening on server AS/RACE, so it must be something that is not on the other servers
