Re: The MARS-3
...but you aren't supposed to empty the magazine in one sitting. It has higher burst DPS but less sustained DPS. It's the whole concept behind the weapon.
You fire till it starts to overheat, or just under, and then you cool it or you change weapon. In that 0.5 second time period, you've done more damage than any other assault rifle can.

Re: The MARS-3
Ok, then let us suppose our opponent has 175 HP and we are shooting at him. Depending on our Hit rate we would be able to kill him.
For the CYLO firestorm the calculation would look like this:
Health Opponent 175 HP
Hit Rate 20 % Number of Bullets needed 1 kill 36.5 Bullets Time needed to kill 44.44 sec Over heats 3
Hit Rate 30 % Number of Bullets needed 1 kill 24.3 Bullets Time needed to kill 18.76 sec Over heats 2
Hit Rate 40 % Number of Bullets needed 1 kill 18.2 Bullets Time needed to kill 9.99 sec Over heats 1
Hit Rate 50 % Number of Bullets needed 1 kill 14.6 Bullets Time needed to kill 8.15 sec Over heats 1
Hit Rate 60 % Number of Bullets needed 1 kill 12.2 Bullets Time needed to kill 7.28 sec Over heats 1
Hit Rate 70 % Number of Bullets needed 1 kill 10.4 Bullets Time needed to kill 6.65 sec Over heats 1
Hit Rate 80 % Number of Bullets needed 1 kill 9.1 Bullets Time needed to kill 1.31 sec Over heats 0
Hit Rate 90 % Number of Bullets needed 1 kill 8.1 Bullets Time needed to kill 1.05 sec Over heats 0
Hit Rate 100 % Number of Bullets needed 1 kill 7.3 Bullets Time needed to kill 0.84 sec Over heats 0
For the CYLO Assault:
Health Opponent 175 HP
Hit Rate 20 % Number of Bullets needed 1 kill 29.2 Bullets Time needed to kill 26.51 sec
Hit Rate 30 % Number of Bullets needed 1 kill 19.4 Bullets Time needed to kill 7.34 sec
Hit Rate 40 % Number of Bullets needed 1 kill 14.6 Bullets Time needed to kill 4.13 sec
Hit Rate 50 % Number of Bullets needed 1 kill 11.7 Bullets Time needed to kill 2.64 sec
Hit Rate 60 % Number of Bullets needed 1 kill 9.7 Bullets Time needed to kill 1.83 sec
Hit Rate 70 % Number of Bullets needed 1 kill 8.3 Bullets Time needed to kill 1.42 sec
Hit Rate 80 % Number of Bullets needed 1 kill 7.3 Bullets Time needed to kill 1.10 sec
Hit Rate 90 % Number of Bullets needed 1 kill 6.5 Bullets Time needed to kill 0.86 sec
Hit Rate 100 % Number of Bullets needed 1 kill 5.8 Bullets Time needed to kill 0.66 sec
Calculation-> Bullets needed = (Hit Rate/100)*(Health Opponent)/(Damage per Bullet)
Calculation-> Time needed to kill= =ROUNDUP((Number of bullets)/((Fire Rate)*(Hit Rate)))+IF(Number of Bullets>Bullets in Clip;Reload Time;0)+(OverHeat Amounts)*(OverHeat Time)
where OverHeat Amount=IF(Number of Bullets>10; ROUNDDOWN(Number of Bullets/10);0)
Notice than in every single "Hit rate" you kill faster with the CYLO Assault?

Re: The MARS-3
You have the UAW doing more damage per shot than the Firestorm (less shots per kill on UAW)?Butcher wrote:Ok, then let us suppose our opponent has 175 HP and we are shooting at him. Depending on our Hit rate we would be able to kill him.

Where are you pulling these numbers from?
From memory alone UAW is like 24 damage a shot where Firestorm is like 32, maybe even 35.

24 Damage/Round CYLO FS
30 Damage/round CYLO AS

Re: The MARS-3
Then it's a typo on the stats page. Firestorm does more damage per shot, and it feels higher than 30.

Re: The MARS-3
Give me the correct values and I make the complete calculation in 2 secs... As you can see my first assumption was like you said... then Aza said "your stats are wrong"... so I used the "correct" stats...iRobot wrote:Then it's a typo on the stats page. Working from memory, as I posted above, but this is what I think it is;
UAW is like 24 damage a shot where Firestorm is like 32
UAW is like 24 damage a shot where Firestorm is like 32

Re: The MARS-3
It's clearly not if it's saying Firestorm does 24 damage a shot.
On the off-chance Firestorm does do that damage, then it's clearly broken and the overheat mechanic serves no purpose.
