Are you sure that only Xerox products affected? Maybe other vendors are doing something like this?
As i know, DJVu file format have similar approach like JBIG2.

I imagine, if my, say $60000 in bank account turn to $80000.
Or, if when i print electronic ticket, flight FLIGHT-606 at 16:06 16 OCT 2013 switches to flight FLIGHT-808 at 18:08 18 OCT 2013.
Here, one guy complains that he had similar problem, when he printed electronic ticket for railway out of PDF file. Some symbols and numbers have changed. http://rsdn.ru/forum/life/5261546.flat

Oh no. Copiers are even more dangerous, than i thought before.
They log everything that passes through them.
