Magnet Glitching.

Post by Jiffy » Sun 03 Nov , 2013 6:25 pm

Satin told me to make a thread about this, just so you know what could possibly happen.

Using the magnet while running up to a certain wall (that you can see through, usually) will allow you to clip through it. Examples of this are the Glass to the outside area of DM-BDC-Poolside-INV and DM-INV-Crossfire-Xtreme (with the police station.)

My view on both the flight & magnet artifacts would be to remove them from the game to be perfectly honest, remove and refund any user the stat points. They offer an unfair advantage and primarily are used to get to places you're not meant to go to (I.E non monster access campspots)

At least with the translocator, it was coded to stop the camping and offers a good compromise between hideability & survivability, neither the magnet or flight offer that.

Aza: your views?

Since theres translocator in game those 2 artifacts are not needed tbh. another thing that can be done with them is make adrenaline cost extreme high

That won't work, at higher levels you get a lot of adrenaline fairly quickly, it wouldn't be a deterrent

I agree if they serve no purpose other than to get to places monsters can't then they should go.

Both flight and magnet artifacts have been removed from gameplay.

Now that Magnet/Flight artifact have gone, some maps'll be boring to play (nana, not about easy safe spot I swear). Just for example, on many maps the translo' don't work (yeah, same if you shoot near the ground). Some pickups can't be reached (on Poolside, there're Ev-Plasma & OP weap' spawn up the Pool. The translo' don't work to go there).

I know, it'll be boring to fix all of this map. Maybe, just fix the fav' maps from all players (I mean, the maps that they're always vote like Poolside) ?

It's a little bit "easy" to run monsters when you're 4/5 people but more, it's like impossible (I like challenge so np for me but dunno for the others :D).

I think flight should be kept and magnet stay removed.

I agree. Magnet is never used but I use flight all the time.
You see a mouse trap, I see free cheese and a fucking challenge.
They will try to kill you. Kill them back.
