Medic weapons heal you instead of dealing damage. One more reason to play as medic :)

Yes,Titan RPG have Cautiousness which by default reduce 15% self dmg per level, tho i am not sure if it apply on HAMR or Nova staff/Dark Star backslash.
Reminds me you could try add Cautious magic modifier for weps.

If people start to complain about a KS2 weapon not being applicable for every single situation that they might possibly encounter, the problem is not with the weapon, but with the user itself.
