It's not really the damage, it's things like the el crappo zoom for a lot of snipers (which may make sense for Bw but don't in Invasion, or excessive speed or recoil penalty.

I do wish sometimes the Invasion servers weapons weren't messed with just because it suits the BW guys.

All snipers headshots should be instant kill. LS is just more annoying. And single barrel is perhaps too powerful. Rockets are shit now.

Regarding "el crappo zoom", the minimum rotation step in UT2004 is 20 seconds of arc, so even the current zooms begin to lose smoothness.

I could live with a no smooth zoom if it actually zoomed in more than x1.5 like the LS, seriously a lot of zoom has been nerfed so much you might as well use iron sights, particularly annoying as these weapons have smaller magazines/semi fire only to compensate for the hard hitting/far reach.

I am sorry but LS-14 is not accurate at all... if you crouch and use sights you may hit 2 of 6 shots aiming correctly in single mode. Besides you cant hit anything from hip, and if you dodge or move the aim moves away... so does not work at all when you have someone close. It works fine against groups of enemies mid-long range, cause it causes chaos. If you control well your shots you are having a very good weapon, but is not easy to handle as any other sniper. Besides, Everyone sees where you are shooting from. In my opinion is ok, and would be better without movement penalty.

Yea.. I really liked the crosshair.. that red circle was cool.. it is an accurate good sniper rifle.. .. the rockets are shit.. double barrel does makes a lot of damage only used single barrel when the enemy was a "good dodger" and I couldn't hit it..

I did specialize too much in ls, I loved to snipe with it. Kind of 1 sided... true. However it is not so easy to use but once you start feeling it (yea just like with all weps.. maybe the railgun is the hardest?) it IS annoying getting killed by it, (happened to me also). Maybe some idiots like me used it too much you can call it " abuse".. Sorry about it, not going to happen ANYmore!

LS-14 lacks range atten, meaning it outclassed similar weapons (i.e. the SRS) hard. Lowered basic damage, but it retains constant damage over all ranges and loses base damage when fired as normal.
